Peppermint Crisp Tart

This beloved South African dessert is both quick and simple to prepare. It consists of creamy caramel, light whipped cream, and crumbled peppermint crisp chocolate bars, all layered over coconut biscuits.


When my husband and I just got together, he requested this delightful dessert at least once a week. It is true what they say: The way to a man's heart runs through his stomach.

Ingredients:

  • 250 Millilitre whipping cream

  • 1 Can of caramel

  • 2 Peppermint crisp chocolate bars (Small)

  • 1/2 Packet coconut biscuits (Tennis) crumbled


Method:

  1. Whip cream until thick and airy

  2. Add caramel and mix together on low speed until well incorporated.

  3. Break or chop peppermint crisp chocolate bars into small pieces and add to cream-caramel mix and stir in with spoon.

  4. Place biscuit crumbs on bottom of a 20cm tart dish

  5. Scoop caramel filling on-top of crumbs and refrigerate for 4 hours.

  6. Enjoy!
